Griddle & Shake offers a burger and shake experience like no other. With a range of burgers including beef, chicken, and pulled pork (along with one of the UK’s first vegan tempeh burger) there are also unlimited toppings and sauces as well as sides.

We were invited to try the unlimited deal, which runs every Monday and Tuesday after 6pm. Read on to find out what we thought about our visit!

Kinga – I was excited before our venture to Griddle & Shake as it was my first time paying it a visit. My colleagues, already experienced #GriddleShakers, all recommended the mouth-watering burgers and refreshing milkshakes, so I couldn’t wait to try them too.

We were invited to try the unlimited deal, which runs every Monday and Tuesday from 6pm onward, with unlimited burgers, wings and fries for only £12 per person. What a treat!

We received a warm welcome as soon as we stepped into the restaurant and were shown to our table which happened to be inside of a quirky cow shed! Our waiter explained how placing an order at Griddle & Shake works and we looked through the menu and decided what we’re having. I went for a classic beef burger with Mature Cheddar cheese, onions, lettuce and fresh tomatoes along with some skin on fries – I was really pleased with the fact that you can pick your own toppings! The service was really quick, we didn’t have to wait too long for our burgers reach us and I was really happy with my choice. The beef was tender and perfectly seasoned and the fries were also yummy.

We both decided to go for round two, I knew that another burger will be too much for me but really wanted to try the barbecue sauce chicken wings. They proved to be equally delicious and I nearly managed to finished them all.

We had a lovely dinner at Griddle & Shake and will definitely recommend to all burger lovers. A great meal in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Alistair It was with a great deal of excitement, and a dash of nerves that we wandered under the glowing Griddle & Shake sign, for an encounter with every burger lover’s dream.

Unlimited burgers. Unlimited chips. Unlimited chicken wings.

It sounds too good to be true, but that’s the latest offer from one of Nottingham’s favourite burger and milkshake establishments.

The great thing about Griddle & Shake is that you can create your own burgers from scratch. You simply move along the counter, piling up your burger with as many toppings as you want from the tasty selection. With a growling stomach, I was excited to try and get my teeth into the record – an almighty eight burgers in one sitting!

For my first burger, I decided to go for as many toppings as could be physically squeezed inside a bun – jalapenoes, tomatoes, red onion, you name it.

The burger was delicious, and I couldn’t help wolfing down the helping of skin-on-fries that came with it. I was soon back up for another, but this time decided to shake things up a little and try out the vegan-friendly tempah burger. I was impressed by how tasty this meat-free option was, and enjoyed it almost as much as the beef option that I’d started with.

It quickly became clear that I’d bitten off a lot more than I could chew, however, and I was forced to surrender to a pitiful defeat. I’m ashamed to say I didn’t even manage to polish off my second burger, leaving Kinga to look on in pity, as she stoically made her way through chicken wing after chicken wing.

While I fell woefully short of the record – and you have to take your hat off to the guy who put eight of these large burgers away – it’s fair to say that the Unlimited offer certainly won’t let you down. If you’re looking to test your burger munching stamina there’s simply no better place to do it.

Griddle & Shake is located in the heart of Nottingham’s lively city centre – at 9 Fletcher Gate near Lake Market tram stops. Open from Monday till Thursday from 12pm-10pm, Fridays and Saturdays till 10.30pm and Sundays till 5pm.
